Data culture

In a nutshell

When it is normal in an organisation to decide with data, ask where a figure comes from and flag data that looks wrong.

Data culture can’t be bought or declared: you see it in daily work. In a company with a data culture people ask “where does this figure come from?”, argue with data rather than hierarchy, and flagging an error is welcomed.

It rests on three things: people with data literacy, quality data people can trust and leaders who set the example.

It is built step by step, with practical training, reference tools (glossary, catalogue) and recognition for those who improve the data.
